Hello everyone,

I'm new to the insurance market and I really like the tips given on this forum. Currently my hobbies and work are creating Youtube channels. I am fascinated by the idea to start a channel in the insurance market with an expert who gives tips and advice about various insurance related stuff. The reason for this is that I expect a full income from it for both and want to share 50/50, but it will take time of course.

I would love to find a person with a lot of knowledge of the market who likes to make short videos with tips and advice, and I would do the rest of the editing and works on the channel. If anyone is interested, a pm is always welcome so I can give more information about it.

Best regards,

What you're offering isn't worth a 50/50 split.

You're basically saying "have the knowledge and do the work and then give me half". Besides, there are already many knowledgeable insurance people doing podcasts and youtube videos. What new will you bring to the table that they don't?

Hello,

Thank you for the replies. Well, you are right that i have no knowledge about the market. That is what i said and why i am looking for a partner. Having knowledge about the market is one thing, but having knowledge about creating a channel that does take of is something else. Please, to create a good video i can sit for hours to edit a few minute video. And a lot of people do like to take multiple videos in a short time, but just don't want to put the effort to edit and upload hundreds of them. So is it really fair saying that? Automatically i would already need to put in more effort, sitting for hours to edit those few minutes to how it should be. I do want to mention though that i ment 50/50 from only the ads, not the potential clients a partner would get. I would even put the full payout of the ads to my partner.

I think it's a pretty good deal.

Best regards,

Well good luck! I hope you get better at the grammar, spelling, and punctuation part of marketing to businesses.
BTW - no one assumed you'd take half the clients if you don't even have a license. No one.

What you are offering is not a partnership but a paid for service that many other highly qualified sources offer.

Most of the large insurance marketing organizations will help with videos as part of the package they offer advisors, and at no additional cost.

Good luck with your business model because I don't think you are going to find many takers for a 50/50 split for a videos, but you never know.

Martininsurance you did not mention the type of insurance you are referring to? But I can best answer your response in the P&C world:

While I certinly understand someone thinking that a 50/50 split is fair, its not at all in the P&C world. First off the costs associated with having licenses in enough states were YouTube videos would be of value plus the necesary insurances and operational support to make sales possible is gigantic.

Second, the knowledge, training, and market access is incredible.

Third - in order to be able to get splits you "the YouTuber" need to have all the licenses and E&O yourself.

Four - the market is dominated by customer service, not so much sales. And unless the videos can help with that - well not sure it would work.

In the P&C world people that do these things usually get around some/most of this by selling leads and not splitting the business.

Martininsurance you may find better luck with certain types of insurance that dont require all of this, more the one and done, no license needed type sale. Just my opinion, best of luck.

Are you licensed to sell insurance? If not the agent cannot share commission with you.

Thank you for the information. I think I will look further then.

I'm just a young person that creates channels with over 5 digits of daily views. And i'm not saying i would get this amount as well in this market.

The only idea i had was to make videos like "what to look out for" and stuff, not actually about someone selling insurance. I don't understand how this would require me to have a license, but as i know now that 50/50 is not fair here, i will move on and i totally respect this market.

Thank you very much and sorry for the bad grammar ;)
