Since Insurance is an unsought product, it is important to promote it in spaces that potential customers are spending time. If you live in a technology oriented area such as Silicon Valley, you would probably see considerable success with an online advertising campaign, you can usually start with a small investment.

If your customers aren't online, try attending trade shows, or holding an informational meeting with incentives for people to show up.

You might want to do policy review by phone or in person. It will help retention and that way u need to sell less because u will keep ur existing clients from leaving. And also look for gaps in coverage for additional sales.
 
To sell homeowners get to know some loan officers. They'll let you know when first-time homebuyers are lagging on selecting an insurance agent, especially the lag is preventing them from getting the loan documents prepared for the signing appointment.

How would you go about making these connection? Just walking into banks/realestate offices? Calling? Any tips are greatly appreciated.
