scrapebox is dangerous as hell to use if you use it incorrectly.

one of my favorite scrapebox tricks, I like to linkbait with a spun comment story.
You need proxies, a spinning tool or knowledge of how to write spintax, and scrapebox, plus a topic that is somewhat contriversial.
You write a article that you believe will inflame people, intentionally, and spin it past 90% uniqueness, then scan for stories related to the article. Filter those down to higher pr, then post to the higher pr sites using slow post and a random timer, with different names/emails on the stories.
Its safe to do about 1000 links each run, not pointed at your main site but 1 step down.
If you do not follow those steps exactly you can get penalized really easy.
You also can take scrapebox and fire links on fast mode right at someones website, with links saying their site is about magic reindeer vaginas or something using only pr0 and leave it on fast mode 24 hours a day. Not a very nice use of the tool, but it would likely do something.
A very legit use of scrapebox is to find forums with comment areas above a certain pr that you can manually post to, and point directly to your site. You still need proxies but the free ones are fine for that.
