Looking to Hire An SEO Professional

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Either Google actually learns how to properly rank websites or two college kids in a garage right now will knock them on their ass. And if you don't think it'll happen, call Myspace.

Thanks Bob,

I am well aware of my competiton, and have personally known most of them for 10-15 years:biggrin:

the question isnt can you make a site hit that term, the question is really is that term profitable, are you going to get lead volume, are the leads going to generate sales.

A long term care website for a health insurance or a life insurance agent will not be profitable.

I have a few million of premium on the books for LTC.

I feel comfortable conversing with prospects about LTC.

But thanks for asking.

It has nothing to do with your ability, it has much more to do with the audience. I dont know anything about your style or sales or anything else, but ive seen sites rank at the top of google, get traffic, and produce nothing plenty of times, and see people spend 10 grand to rank for city and state terms.

Youre jumping into a hornets nest with no bug spray, and I was trying to help you consider what you were doing carefully. Its your money, you can pile it in your yard and burn it if you like.

Blog commenting died with the last update IMO...

Yeah, I honestly havent fired up scrapebox in like 5 months, the last big linkbait I did was about obamacare when it was big news.

I've found that most people looking for LTC quotes have already done a lot of research and tend to be pretty informed consumers. Pretty different ballgame than most life and health leads...

The bottom line is that I would rather generate exclusive leads through organic ranking than spend $3000/mo. +++ on pay per click and have to continue to throw money away for "monkey clicks" or click fraud.
PPC traffic is highly targeted, high quality traffic. If you can't convert PPC traffic into customers it is unlikely that you are capable to do it for SEO traffic.

People use bots to screw competition on the ppc, its a dirty but fairly open secret.
Unfortunately advertisers very often screw themself. SEM is another full-time job.

Jack,

The first 3 sites above are going to be hard (if not impossible) to beat for the usual terms.

"Tree" gets a third of its' traffic for "long term care insurance" and another 17% for long term care insurance costs and long term care insurance rates. The site has 5,000+ visitors per month.

"Advisory" receives 83% of traffic in searches for "long term care insurance" and is spiking toward 5,000 visitors per month.

You would do well to carve out a niche and let someone like Malcolm (Pangea) advise you on how to promote.

True, then the website just needs toy be streamlined and not just cluttered with information .

Carve out a niche???

Huh?

Bob, with time there is no reason why I will not end up being right at the top and also getting 5000+ hits a month.

C'mon Bob, why would I ever wish to be just a "niche" player?

I am doing this to compete. Nationally.

Derrick (LTC Tree) built his website 3 years ago. So he just has a little bit of a head start on me. It just takes time, backlinks and content.

I have received referrals to a dozen SEO firms this weekend from a number of attorneys, and similarly situated professional business people.

I will circle back in 12 months to let you know how things are progressing, as well as to double my post count and catch up to Chumps while he is busy watching old highlights of Dan Majerle and Ron Harper.

Bob, give me a call and let me know when I can take you out to Bones or Chops. I owe you a nice lunch, anyway :)

Jack
