Hey all, I've been licensed for about 3 years now and have learned a little bit of what I don't want to do with a couple of well known mortgage protection agencies and a few other scattered opportunities. For just over the last 2 years of having my license I've primarily focused on Medicare Advantage.
I'm ready to focus my energy/efforts into Final Expense. For the most part, my bills are paid with my renewals and come January I will be more comfortable. I just feel like it's a good time to try something new since money isn't as much of a concern if I didn't have the renewals. MA is a grind, and it's not that I'm not willing to grind, but I went after it so that I could get some renewal income coming in and not so much for the first year commissions. Now that I have renewals, I want to get into something with a little more money upfront.
I definitely plan on working AEP and maybe a little of the first quarter of each year with Medicare to keep up with attrition/increase my renewals, but I want to focus my energy into this. I like the commissions, overall affordability of the product for people and relative ease of issue.
I've sold a handful of final expense policies along the way, but I've never actually bought leads for it and went after it. I'm looking for somewhere to get started. I'd like to say I need minimal hand holding, but at the same time I understand there are many successful people in the industry that I could learn from and am certainly excited about learning a proven concept and replicating it.
I'm accustomed to buying mailers and getting back whatever I get back. I'm open to doing that or buying them individually as long as they are not resold/reworked. I'm also open to free leads lol.
I don't have ridiculous expectations for this. In the beginning I'd actually be ok only writing a couple or a few a week. Once I gain some momentum and get in a groove, I'd certainly be more comfortable buying a quantity of leads that would support writing a lot more.
Any recommendations on who I could speak with to see if we could be a fit for each other? Thanks in advance.
