MAC plan or something else

My understanding is that if an individual is going to an out of network dentist, that a UCR dental plan would likely be better than a MAC dental plan.

Does anyone know if the Continental Life Dental, Vision and Hearing Plus plans are UCR plans or MAC plans?

Less important is whether the Delta Dental plans are UCR or MAC plans, but would appreciate knowing this as well.

Continental Life is UCR. Says it on the back of the brochure.

United National Life is the only company I know of that pays on actual charges..

You are generally correct that when going out of network, MAC is generally not your friend. You still get coverage, but paying on UCR or actual charges will result in a higher PERCENTAGE covered.

Does the dentist in question not take ANY insurance?
