Making Sales From a Cold Call

I made one sale on a cold call and it was FE. After that it takes about 4-8 calls to close. Just FYI

That sounds like a lot of work. What is the AP on one of these cases?

With 4-8 calls to close, I would imagine the first call you dont even bring up a sale.
 
How many calls it will take to close a sale is highly dependent on what type of product you are selling.

The shortest close would probably be FE. Longest would be Annuities.
 
Have made a few first sit cold calls when the initial contact was by telephone when calling list... Over the years have made many firtst contact sales when canvassing (cold door knocking). That includes life, FE, Med Supp, MM and cancer sales.

You have to feel them out. The real problem is the people who say they are interested but are just being polite. They are the time killers! Chasing leads that have no intention of buying, they just dont have the word "NO" in their vocabulary.
If I could figure out which are which I would be deadly! :twitchy:
 
You do not make sales from cold calls!

You create leads.

Those leads are then sold.

A sale from a cold call, would be considered one call one close.
