Male 66 Purchasing Term Life

Bonita,
I have a male non smoker age 66, mild stroke this past march is determined to purchase term instead of whole life on the advice of a family member.

My question is... with his health and age issues can he even get term? He has had prostrate cancer treated and doing well with that, also stints several years back for his heart.
I am thinking guarantee issue and if he can stay healthy for awhile rewrite him with an improved coverage. What say ye?

Re: Male 66

He should be eligible for Monumental Standard Immediate in March after a year's been up on the stroke, assuming he has no CHF, or insulin, or COPD.

However, you should try selling him a Vantis or ROP plan, like MoO.

But it's whole life. Term, ain't gonna happen for a while.

Good luck on selling this guy.

How much coverage is he looking for? How much can he afford to spend? I would find him the most coverage I could for the money and present it to him period. Have you explained that most term policies cannot be renewed beyond a certain age and if he lives too long he is out of luck? .

He ain't gettin term unless he goes with a 2 or 3 yr ROP term product. Since he wants term on the advice of a family member, did the stoke affect the family member's brain too?:D

Yup.

Show him a table J term and let him know he needs to die before age 77 also show him an FE Whole life.

Yes I have explained to him the cons of purchasing term (if he is able find it)at his age. Going to speak with him today and attempt to steer him in the proper direction.

Thanks for your input

Now why would I do that when I have the benefit of the multiplied years of wisdom available to me through my fellow agents on this forum...

...Because after doing 1000+ presentations, you develop a 6th sense, and can tell pretty quickly what type of prospect you're dealing with.

Odds are this guy is "that" prospect. Do you agree, JD?

But sell him anyway. I hope you prove me wrong and help him out.
