OMG! Don't tell Mark Rosenthal!! It might drive him out of the biz!!!
:D

A lot of the things people say don't work, do work for me. I like doing what the other agents don't do.

The hardest thing is getting my foot in the door, but once I do, I know I have them.

I don't think the pill cutter idea is good by the way. You are better off giving out business cards.

You never know if an idea is going to work until you try it. I'm always willing to try anything and every now and then, I learn something that works.

ya'll were alone in the office....

... the temperature was in mid 90's outside, the air conditioning wasn't working and the windows were the kind that couldn't be opened. We were working on a proposal for a very wealthy client and couldn't leave until it was completed...

Jeez, you guys!
At least start the story the correct way:
Dear PentHouse Forum,
I never thought this would happen to me, but....

I'm always willing to try anything and every now and then, I learn something that works.

The folks in Washington have found that handing out money works very well. They take my tax dollars and turn it into vote buying of people who don't have a job, pay rent or buy their own food.

I was headed somewhere with that, but Frank and the mayor got me sidetracked . . .

Providing a valuable service is far better than giving something away for free. They won't remember the "free stuff" but they will remember the service provided.

Kind of what I expected, but the question becomes; how do I get the attention of someone long enough to convince them that I do indeed have their best interest in mind, and can truly provide a valuable service? (in a world that is already teeming with marketing and hollow promises)

S-M-P (See more people). This is a tried and true sales formula that is guaranteed to work, no matter what the product of customer.

I don't care if you are a poor salesman, if you will see enough people you can outsell those smarter and more gifted at sales than you. It is more a matter of how badly you WANT to do the things necessary for you to succeed.

If you have unlimited funds, then buy more leads. If you don't, then get in front of ppl however you can... telephone or shoe leather - b2b. The better you get at presenting, the more product knowledge you gain, the more you will convey the mindest of "that truly valuable (product or) service" that you mention above.

Go run through some brick walls; it only hurts for a little while.
