Since these MAPD plans are starting to show up more prominently with "Medical Deductibles", I was wondering where these apply since I looked at the SOB of a prominent company and this specific deductible is presented as:
Medical deductible $300 in-network The following services listed are excluded from the in-network deductible:
• Ambulance Services
• Chemotherapy Drugs and Administration
• Diabetic Monitoring Supplies
• Emergency Room Services
• Lab Services
• Medicare Covered Preventive Services (including Immunizations (Flu & Pneumonia))
• Medicare Part B Insulin Drugs
• Other Medicare Part B Drugs
• Primary Care Provider's Office
• Services not covered by Original Medicare
• Specialist's Office
• Urgently Needed Services at Urgent Care Centers
Outside of surgery and related surgical services, where does the deductible apply exactly? And presumably co-pays do not intersect or cross-paths. Meaning whether deductible is met or not, copays live on, and don't count towards the deductible. It would be nice to know where this deductible applies. Gates are open....GO!
