Marketing Yourself

Board, I wanted to see if we can get something going about how you market yourself.

The longer I am in insurance, the more I see marketing as the way to grow your business. It reminds me of a couple of recent marketing ploys:

1. Oxiclean, cleans without the power of chlorine. (I think that was their tag line). Little secret...it's non-chlorinated bleach. You can buy it for $5 a 5 gallon bucket according to my brother-in-law who owns a dry cleaners. If you price Oxiclean in the store, it $10/32 oz.

2. Another one that comes to mind, www-nycgarbage-com (insert the periods). This guy sells NY City Garbage. He started it with a project in a marketing class. He believed he could sell trash if you market it correctly.

These are interesting ways to market. I ask the board if you are using interesting way to market yourself/business.

thats hilarious, well i guess another mans trash is another mans treasure, i know quite a few scavengers that make good cash picking up free stuff on craigslist and selling it on craigslist lol. Its so funny. I also knew a kid in college that sold WOW gold before it became popular, he would look at his phone and see how much his paypal account gained after class, it was astonishing.

I smile, thats my marketing tactic. The number one sign of confidence is smiling, and people tend not to look into someone's eyes in the western world, but their mouth, do the opposite, and look into their eyes, alternate between each eye, find the soul in one and find the ego in another, connect with each on their levels, and smile away.
