Massachusetts Experiment

I saw the report on NBC news tonight - it was a glowing report of how the Mass plan has been a huge success! What a crock!

Where are they getting their numbers? Read all the replies to the story posted above. 90% are from MA residents who are seeing first hand a whole different story.

They just tried to do the same type of a program here in WA. They pulled the plug on it on Dec 3.

Man, I really wish there was some other way to get the real information out to the public. The Mass program failed and so did the Hawaii plan.

CNN Glosses Over Failure of Universal Health Care

God, I detest the media and socialist politicians!

Costs are rising on an average of 10% and right now the budget shortfall is 1.3 billion. That's not a right or left wing slant - that's a stat. Whether or not you consider that success is up to you.

When they put this together they (ready for the laugh) counted on holding the carriers to 4% increases. Yeah.....ok.

It's 10% annual increases which applies to group and individual and so far it's blown out the budget. MA is now looking at additional taxes - cigarettes are one consideration.

At 10%...remember that it's mandatory which means that my family's $740 premium (what it would cost my fam in MA now) means I top $1,000 in 4 years.

That has yet to be addressed. I've been following this closely. Without the infusion of 4 billion this program implodes in 2011.
