I used to be an active agent but accepted a position about 4 years ago with NYL's back office.. So forgive me if this sounds dumb.
If someone takes a ACA plan can they also have a Hosp Indemnity plan? I recommended them all the time to seniors when I was selling Medicare Part C plans.
I won't go into details but it might make sense for a buddy of mine to drop out of his work plan and take the ACA. Then pick up an Indemnity plan to cover the OOP.
On paper the number add up but I'm not sure what the consequences to him would be either if he does that. Thanks
