McCain is trying to be Mr. Bipartisan here as usual. I am all in favor of bipartisan at the right time but republicans do not have an obligation to help the dems make it look like obamacare has not died a sudden death by letting them sort of continue discussions about repub suggestions all while other dems are still saying they are going to run with reconciliation. Even many dems are saying a couple month cooling off period is needed. McCain needs to tell them that repub are ready when they are, and have a nice day, and we will talk to you down the road the bit when you come to us. That is what Snowe has done and it works for many dems too. Just let em do whatever they have to do but step away from it so that when we come back to the discussions there are no guns to anyone's head and no question about what they could pass and could not. Let em get it all out their system even if that includes ramming it through.

Even Gibbs says here"we want to go forward, but we just dont know how yet" or something like that. McCain needs to get out there and just leave em be for a while. Othewise he is going to frig it up by allowing the dems to say they were not beaten down but agreed to take the high road and work with the repubicans on alternatives. We have come too far now. They can do an honorable surrender or bleed to death. Their choice, although I do have a preference.

Get McCain out of there. John Boner and McConnell have no charm whatsoever but that is just what is needed right now. It is typical lib whining to make it look like they are the ones who are suffering now. The reality is, people such as myself, feel like we have lived with a commie boot in our face for months, and then watched them dishonor our country with bribes. How about they feel my pain for a while. Thank God for Massachusetts patriots who were able to fight them back a little.

Also, send Eric Holder to Gitmo and waterboard his commie arse, but I digress.

I wouldnt say McCain was offering an olive branch he basically said scrap the entire thing and restart with bipartisan negotiations.

Yup, I know. My issue is that there are still dems going around saying they are going to run it with reconciliation. I would not negotiate with them or exend an olive branch during that period. Surrender or be defeated. I dont want the dems going up to the elections saying "we could have rammed it thuogh but we chose to work with the republicans." They need to either pull the trigger or take the gun down.

But I agree. McCain's posture is good. I just think it takes a couple more bullets to take Pelosi and Reid down becase they are so thick and I see no reason why they should not be taken down completely right now. Think of what they would do or have done when they were holding cards. McCain said some nice things. Now go play some golf back in AZ for a while. It is not the repubs job to help daddy Obama get sober for the next few weeks. Let daddy live out under the bridge for a couple weeks. He attempted a complete socialist takeover of one sixth of the economy and I would fire as many shots as needed into that program.

As Chris Matthew said reconciliation can only be used to raise or lower taxes and reconcile budget issues it can not be used to create new programs. It's an empty threat.

McCain is barking up the wrong tree just like the rabid dog he is. He needs to simply move on. Last I heard there were terrorists still after us who would really like to dump a whole lotta American bodies into the Grand Canyon and fill that sucker up.

Chucku Schumer wanted to move forward with immigration, John Not-In-My-Backyard Kerry wanted to move forward with climate change legislation, seems to me that Kerry has completely lost that one and Chucku is going to have a helluva time keeping Gillebrand zipped up under his belt, so to speak.

We absolutely need economic reform and now would be a great time to go after the corporate criminals who have deprived Americans who want to work from being able to do so by hiring any illegal who can get into the US, even if its just someone who wants to blow up a plane or two along the way.

We also need serious tax reform. Don't think so? Read this book:
