Med Supp Companies in Florida?

I am wondering what are all the companies that sell medicare supplemental insurance in state of Florida? Thanks.

There aren't any. Medicare supplements aren't sold in Florida.

United Commercial Travelers I think is still in Florida.

I find it interesting that they don't sell Med Supps in FL. I guess it was a "fig newton" of my imagination that I recently sold two policies in Poinciana.

The best place to get a list of companies in FL is to go to the FL DOI website.

That's actually about the worst place you could possible go, the Florida Department of Insurance website is so woefully outdated.

They just "updated" some articles from 2005.

I guess they are the opposite of Maine's DOI in this regard...They just updated their list of Med Supp companies listing 1 company before that company even knew their rates had been approved. Which Frank by the way its been three weeks and still no contracting paperwork from you know who.

I know. I checked again today and they were not able to give me a date that contracts will be available. I keep getting "soon" as an answer.

This is such a goofy business. Rates are approved, agents are ready to begin selling it and have the rates. Contracts are not yet available nor are commission schedules. What's up with that?????????

Well the list for Florida is shaping up, now it's just tryiing to sort through them for the best plans and price and area. Still waiting for Gerber to come through, any body know when??
