What's the best recommendation to seniors signing up for med supps - on their DENTAL coverage ???

Don't know that a dental discount plan is the best option for someone w/ perhaps greater dental needs.

Thanks!

If you have a DMO in the area, such as Humana, offer that. Otherwise, tell them to save their money. Everything else is a ripoff.

I've been searching for a good dental plan to offer seniors for eighteen years. Still haven't found one that I felt was worth the premiums charged.

I don't understand how they are not worth it. Of course it doesn't cover everything but I got mine this Jan. The premium for the year is $276. I've had 2 cleanings and now I need 3 fillings. Normally the 2 cleanings with x rays would run well over $200 alone. Add in the 80% off for fillings and I'm already ahead.

I'm not saying they are great but they are better than paying fully out of pocket

Dental insurance is very worthwhile if it's used. The cost is definitely a plus. but this is coming from someone who has had to shell out big $$ for dental work when not covered. The cost outweighs the premiums all day.

Problem though is that just about every client who has asked me about dental coverage already has a toothache, and of course there is a waiting period of at least 6 months for anything other than a looksee.

It's a decent ad product. I've placed ads int he past in some small community papers and gotten terrific response then crossed the med supp behind it.

I used to have a good deal with Smile Right through Security Life but it is gone. Constitution Life has one I use occasionally. Decent pricing, good benefits and pretty widely accepted down here.

Yeah, about 2 years ago when I was still new in the Biz me and a colleague did a dental mailer. Holy cow you get a good return. Unfortunately we only did one FE and a bunch of Dental plans but we were still new in insurance and could probably do a lot better now
