Medicaid in Georgia

In Georgia, what are the guidelines for medicaid? If I am reading this guide properly i would appear to be that someone on a student visa could go on Medicaid to have a baby.

I ask this because I had a couple that I was signing up for Kaiser who told me they wanted to wait until Monday because they wanted to find out whether they would be eligible for coverage if she became pregnant.

I didnt think you could get coverage for that unless you were a citizen or a permanent resident (the later which I see as a travesty). Please give me your opinions.

Pretty much anyone who is preggo can get Medicaid coverage, regardless of income. If anyone delivers here, citizen or not, it could fall under EMTALA rules.

Of course anyone can file for Medicaid, retroactive 90 days. Kinda makes buying insurance in advance pointless.
