Is there anything in the bill that may affect selling medicare supplements anytime in the near future?
If there is a cap on the maximium out of pocket and they extend that to Medicare, no one would need a supplement.
Does that answer the question?
Rick
Why would they not need a supplement?
I've read nothing about there being one and surely if there was that would lower the rates, but why would they not need one?
Obama has said many times that he does not want plans to have high deductibles and high out of pocket. The only plan that I know of that has no limit on OOP costs is Medicare.
If they limit the OOP to (for example) $3,000, why would anyone buy a supplement?

Seems like eventually the only people who will be able to cold call are politicians or people looking for a donation.Ritters website had said they are going to cap Med Supp Commission and starting June 1, we would have the same restrictions as MA. No calling unless they request help first.
To keep from paying your example of $3,000.
Has he ever said that in relation to Medicare?
