So, I got my first client of the year due to Part D concerns. Her sister brought her to the office to get off Humana's PDP. "I ain't changing my Blue Cross!!!". I guess her sister was on her that she was paying too much.

After a little disarming conversation, chit chat, fact finding, etc. She was on Plan C with BCBS $280/mo.effective 1/1/2007 so she was eligible for GI. I gave her the alternative AnTex Plan C @ $184 and change. She jumped on it like a martar on a virgin.

Offering part D assistance last year netted me 45 clients. One per day... that almost makes it worth the BS CMS puts us through.

Missouri allows a change of a med supp to another exact plan on the anniverary of the original plan on a GI basis.

CA allows it on the birthday.

Missouri has a supplement to supplement GI law. Thirty days on both sides of her effective date. Same plan to same plan. It is really good for those like her that wouldn't qualify for a new plan if underwriten. The down side is that it makes rates a bit more unstable than other states without this law.
