Medicare Supplement / Florida

This is irrelevant, Daytona Guy is correct Gerber is going to be the best rate in like a month when it goes live. iam going to contract with gerber tonight, thanks Daytona! Oh and I heard about another company that is going to be released in Florida that is in Virginia, Texas, Alabama, Louisiana, and Oregon..

But I forget who it was…does anyone know?

Im stumped

Dj, I mean Ryan, why are you posting as though your are an insurance agent? You are Chris Westfall's (Daytona_Guy) marketer. It's going to kind of hard for you to sign a contract isn't it since you are not an insurance agent?

There is no new company coming to Florida that is ready to announce. There are companies that are talking about releasing in Florida but none scheduled with an official release date as of now.

It's not nice to try to fool board members.

American Pioneer just had an 18% rate increase in Florida and are out of the game for now. (Their office is 1/2 a block from mine in Lake Mary...)

Yes, American Pioneer did have an increase last year, however, they are still very competitive in those counties, Miami Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. In the rest of the state they are in the "also ran" category.

Good catch, Frank!!!

You and Yoda will have to share the Insurance Forums Agent of the week award.

You both have intel capabilities that are in high demand and sorely lacking. :embarrassed:

I am sorry you can't take a little sarcasm... I was just making this thread a little more interesting.... I am not a fan of bickering back and forth... I just thought I would throw a little monkey wrench in the mix...

I find it amazing how people are always looking for the next big thing and are never happy with the tools they have to succeed. All you need to succeed in this business is ambition. Frank, I think you show this as well as Daytona Guy. That is why I was taking this so lightly. No offense intended

Now that I'm post AEP I opened up one of my Mutual emails from Decmber 16th.

Effective on new and inforce business for Mutual of Omaha Medicare supplement in Florida as of February 1, 2010, the following rate adjustments by plan will be effective:

5.7% all plans

Not a game changer -- trend!

Spot on MedSuppPro! Not a game changer at all. Still in line with the AARP rate increase (avg of 4.0% across all lines).
I was very concerned about the double digit MOO rate increase rumor going around...
