That's what I was thinking. What's wrong with working out of your place of residence? I've done it for 20 years.

I used to. Now I have an office and I'd not go back to working from home. Over the years it just happened that I got a nice group of clients in one particular town about 45 miles to the south of where I live. I opened an office for $250/mo rent. Nothing fancy, but a place to catch up on paper work, return phone calls, and see the occasional client. I probably wasn't really there more than two days/week on average the first year. Once word got out that I was now a "local" agent the new clients started rolling in. Now... I'm at over 235 clients in that town and surrounding area from ~80-100 at the time of making that decision. Now I've got the second largest office in the building for $375/mo plus $150/mo phone/internet and IMO it is free. Having a physical location in this county really makes a difference.
