Hey Guys, I have an appointment tomorrow to discuss with a Center that is for the Mentally Handicapped. Some are there only during the day but some have apartments there as well. They are wanting quotes on $5,000 of Final Expense on approx. 25 of their residents. The age range is from 16 to 65. I'm sure it will be on an individual basis of how much care each need but would like opinions on a good company to check with first. Thanks for the help!

There are a lot of choices for the age 40+ people. The zero to age 25 GI policies are harder to find. It would help to know what state you are in.

Any suggestions on who will insure these people even if they have Power of Attorneys???

You don't even need POAs. They can all do funeral Preneed insurance policies. Any close family members can sign. No POA is required.

They are usually on Medicaid also and the funeral policies will not count as an asset and won't interfere with their Medicaid qualification.

You will most likely need to work with a funeral home's agent but they should be able to work a nice split with you. If you can't find one, call me and I can work with you on it.
