Does anyone writes in Hawaii. Is it a difficult state to do business?
I believe I have to have an office in that state in order to do any business.Is that right?
I wrote a condo conversion on Maui 5/6 years ago and it was difficult. I believe we had to give up some commission to a local agency. I don't recall the specifics but I remember making very little on a $600K policy and being pretty pissed off about it.

This client of mine has few property, so I am going thru licensing process now.It looks like Hawaii is like Florida.I am going thru Burns & Wilcox, the only That I found so far to get me a quote.
I am still searching and appreciate any advise.
See if Burns has access to the CIBA Property program, if they don't then Bliss & Glennon does. I believe CIBA writes in Hawaii on a pretty broad form with competitive rates.
