I just spoke with a press one lead who states an agent from Mounumental came to their home and took an application for $20,000 coverage and when he was there, also took a throat swab? They are going to call her back this afternoon because they have more questions they want clarified?

I have never heard of this but I have also never used Mounumental.

The client is 54FNT and her daughter is 29. She wants coverage for both. Does anybody know about how Mounemental compares to others in terms of pricing?

I personally am looking for a carrier that requires a vaginal swab...I will be picky on who I offer that too...Do you mean saliva collection kit? Many carriers have that as a requirement.

I've been doing FE for about 4 years and have many carriers and none of them require a swab of any kind. I have never even heard of it for a FE policy.

Never heard of a FE company requiring this. I think I had to do one a few years ago with Americo for a higher amount of term coverage.

AGLA requires the agent to collect a saliva swab on every application that does not require an exam. Always hated that part of their application process.

what is AGLA? what does it stand for and is it related to a Monumental application?

Probably a captive Monumental/Transamerica agent. They have some products only available to the captives and some do require an oral swab.

these products only available to captives, are they normally priced cheaper than there standard FE products?

And yes, the lady told me the business card said Transamerica on it.

doesn't really apply to a Monumental application.. Just pointing out other companies have this requirement so it would be no surprise if Monumental and others started. AGLA is American General Life and Accident which has been, long with American General, Western National and SunAmerica, folded into AIG Life and Retirement which in turn is a part of AIG. The more they simplify things the more complicated they get. :err:
