Saw an article on Medicare changes for 2025 and it casually mentioned MoO was exiting the Medicare market. Is this true or is it just another of their musical chairs marketing?

Hmmmm I know Mutual got out of the Part D market. If they are getting out of the Supp market that is HUGE! Point us in the direction of the article or post link. Please.

Google says:

No, Mutual of Omaha is not leaving the Medicare supplement market, but it is exiting the Medicare Prescription Drug Plan (PDP) market at the end of 2024:

  • Medicare supplement
Mutual of Omaha will continue to offer Medicare supplement insurance in every state except Massachusetts, as well as in Washington, D.C.

  • Medicare Advantage
Mutual of Omaha will continue to offer co-branded Medicare Advantage plans with Wellcare.

  • Prescription Drug Plans
Mutual of Omaha will stop offering Prescription Drug Plans on January 1, 2025.

Could be a reference to them getting out of the PDP market. Haven't seen anything about supplements.

Don't forget that they jumped into the MA market and then jumped out after about a year. Now they're in a deal with Wellcare for MA and PDP.

They've been pushing their deal with Woodmen hard the last few months so who knows.

Doesn't really matter though. If they do get out that just means they'll be back in by the end the week.
