My Ins #'s

Looking at the wholesale number you have 100% placement, so does that mean that 15.8% have lapsed in less than 13 months?

Damn u Rouse....I didnt think of that. NO, thats not true cause some were declined, so how can I have 100% placement record?? (I never thought of that)

On my wholesale side right now, here's the breakdown...

2 are suspended (pmt didnt go thru, but it will draft 2 pmts monday) so Im not sure if thats counted in the NT/EL #

2 are pending

2 declined

1 never paid 1st pmt (non EFES lead)

1 cancelled, but then I saved it, but had start it all over with a new policy (another non EFES lead)

1 stopped paying after about 7mos & it cancelled (This is the only 1 I knew the person-long time fam friend)

About 20 are active

So how do I have 100% placement when 2 were declined??

And I only view it as 2 laspses, since 1 has a new policy...I guess RNA still sees it as 3 lapses. So 3 out of like 26 lapsed.

Placement is usually based on policies issued and does not include declines... So if you have no non taken, then you have 100% placement. (unless they are counting the ones that the first premium is not paid as NT)

I am not familiar with the term EL.. No company I have uses that term.. Might know it by something else?

Even if you had a 15.8% first year lapse, I get the idea that 84% is an acceptable persistency on FE. Over the years, I always had over 90% persistency on life but I wrote more than just FE. Last year I did not issue but on non FE case and my peristency is the worst it has ever been.. around 82%. Of course I didn't write a lot of cases so it only takes a couple of lapses to really make things look bad.

You have to watch those long term friends and family. Back in the 60s I was managing a restaurant and the owner would get upset because I wold take out of state checks.. (We were on one of the main routes from Ohio, MI to FL) But, I never had a problem with one of them except one time when I took a check on my wife's first cousin. :twitchy:
