My personal experience with Aflac

Re: Aflac

With Aflac, the first 2 years you get 52% commission for cancer/accident enrollments.
How is that very little?

wow...I'm in MI & only get 40%. :nah:

hi, My sister has been selling for the duck for 6 moths ,and she wants me to join. she's in NC and does pretty well, I'm in NJ. ANY SUGGESTIONS???

My experience with AFLAC is not been a good one. My DSC is not very good at all. My DSC is very knowledgable, but can't motivate and train very well. Additionally, I've caught him taking a new recruit to a business that I'm trying to close on, and something else very unethical. His AP is one of the very worst in the state operation. I would love to move to another DSC, however I've been told that it is extremely difficult to do.... so I guess I'm stuck.

My advice is this.... if you work very hard at it (and I mean work day and night, study all materials, etc..) you will do well. If you can get to a DSC position, you will have it made. You will never have to cold call or prospect again, and you will suck up all the groups that agents have when they quit. That's what the "Aflac Dream" is all about.

I've been with Aflac for over a year. I would have given my left leg to find this site before I started with Aflac. I have qualified for every award Aflac offers in my first year and I am still broke! Too small of commissions. I knew something was wrong when I was the second highest writing agent in my district after just 3 months. Veteran associates should be beating me to death. I'm tired of hearing "i've already talked to an agent and I'm just not interested, tell your agents to quit coming here". I don't want to quit Aflac. I am getting licensed in Health and going back to all my accounts and offering them "REAL" insurance! Thanks for all the good post. Helps a lot to hear this stuff. Little too late for me tho.

I see a lot of negative information on here regarding experiences with the duck. I am writing to simply let people know there are alternatives to the duck. There are companies like mine that will support your growth, help you grow an agency for long term wealth. I have vesting options that are much better, and finally your business is your business. I am never going to allow another agent to go and write business in an account that an agent or agency has worked to win. If you are looking for an alternative please look me up on Linked In, I can't post a link because of too few posts but look up Sam Mace at CNO Financial Group.
