Nationwide Rates

It is just around here or is Nationwide suddenly becoming competitive? We have a Travelers policy which includes a young (male) driver, good driver btw, but anyway, got a Nationwide quote and it is 1/2 of Travelers. I sell Travelers but I can't pass that up! Don't have a Nationwide agency, doing business with a friend who does.

They typically aren't in PA...but with insurance scoring you never know on a given risk.

I represent both down here in Florida, and they both can be competitive on any given risk, given the right factors. They both can be way off though too.

The opinion of our Nationwide rep is suddenly they are becoming very competitive with auto that includes young drivers. Not sure why they would do that but it works for us! Even if I lose my own comp from Travelers.

They are not even in the ballpark around me. We consistantly beat them with just about everyone all the time.

They are not that competitive in Northern CA. Both Nationwide and Allied have taken significant rate increases.

Andrea, in Georgia Nationwide just dropped their auto rates big time

not sure about other states, but in NC, thats the one company that i look forward to quoting against

Our agency has a substantial book with Allied. We slowed in our production with them the last couple of years, but the last couple of months we seem to be placing alot with them. Especially on package stuff. Travelers was our bread and butter but not so much anymore.
