Well certification will take place between 6pm and midnight on Sept 30th pst.
If I knew I could make $30.00 per hour for 6-9 months of navigator work full time and ot I'd take it in a minute. Now if I received renewals I'd forget this silly notion. I have tried to find where you would apply but can't find it.
Before you say anything remember I'm 65 and really getting sick of what I'm doing.
How can these people be trained when no official HHS-CMS training course exists yet? You'd think that Navigators would need far more training than insurance agents because most of them have no health insurance background. Our "modules" should be much simpler, and thereby rolled out first.

Since rumors are starting to fly that commissions on IFPlan business will be $XX dollars per month, per head, is it likely that we'll NOT be paid on the 6th family member and above? Premiums are only chargable to the first 3 children under age 20 on an ACA plan.
Anybody paid this way now by their current carrier?

We have quite a few carriers that pay flat fees, but none pay "per head", they all use PCPM or PEPM.
I've confirmed with at least one carrier personally that they plan on offering tiered flat-rates. It's still PCPM, but argument's sake, Indy is $5, E/S or E/C is $8, and a Family is $10.
Blue Diamond, they lowered the requirement from a 40 hour class to 30, so one would assume they plan on offering the class Sept 25-27 with a test on the 30th, instead of Sept. 23-27 like originally planned. They need to hold off this long so the marketplaces are actually working enough to show navigators what they'll be using. (It's all conjecture other than the hours, but it's still probably accurate.)
My information is only as good as the most recent citation. Have a source for the 20 hours?
(30 hours was the most recent CMS "Final Rule" on navigator training, mid July. Of course, "final rule" is just an title, not a requirement, so there is a good chance it was changed within a month.)
