Need FE Contracts

A commission renewals higher than what is being offered.

I agree, many of the contracts offered seem to be light on renewals. Of course most agents look at the 1st yr commish and pay much less attention to the renewal rate.

What is a fair % split on the renewal commish of FE, in most agents opinion?

I think 100% level for 7 years. :) Sounds fair to me.

No list that I'm aware of but suggest that you contact Todd King who is an FMO and offers good contracts on many companies, without a hassle or having to negotiate at all. You can find Todd contact info under his signature if you find one of his posts. If Todd does not have a company that you have interest in, he can most likely tell you who offers good comp on that company too. Like most good FMO's they realize that you as an agent deal with a number of FMO's but just ask for a shot at your biz if they offer that company.

* Of course this is a paid announcement since Todd sends me a Turkey and Ham at Thanksgiving and Xmas. [Hint to Todd... you paying attention] Kidding of course about being paid by Todd... he's tighter than bark on a tree. LOL

Heres Todd's contact info

** Also Newby offers some FE contracts too and he is a square shooter and very knowledgeable in this business. Newby

We can forget about the ham this year, it's going to be too expensive!

I do offer what is standard for the particular insurance company. If you can find the same 1st year level with higher renewals, please let me know where you got them and I'll see if I can make the same deal with the insurance company.

One thing you may be seeing is where a few companies have raised their first year commissions, but lowered there renewal rates. Oxford, Monumental, Foresters, and Americo are a few companies that have done it.

The companies with the longer renewal trails are going to be American Memorial, Settlers, RNA, 5- Star, Assurity

Most of the others have pulled the trick where they lower the renewals 40 points and raise first year 5 points.

I have to admit that it's smart for companies to do that. Most agents would take 5 more points first year and slash renewals all the way to 1% and think they got a raise.
