That info is not accurate by any measure. Independent examiners don't have to have a "hazmat" license to dispose of their sharps. In fact, according to the county website in my own state, if it's less than 25 pounds you can get an exemption. They also list places within the county where sharps containers can be brought and dropped off for free.

I've been watching Dexter, and this post made me think of that show. How much does a head weigh?
