I want to start selling p&c. Currently licensed, and have my own insurance company selling life and health. I'm stuck. I want to independently contract with p &c carriers under my agency. Do I contact them? Who are some carriers I should be calling? Is there a software I need? Or do I need to find an IMO, or GA? Any information will be helpful! Thank you!

It will be difficult to get appointed with most carriers without a book of business unless you join a cluster. Progressive is a very easy carrier to get appointed with on your own. I would also look to get appointed with some regional carriers as they are easier to get appointed with than some of the larger nationals.
