Need Help With a Child Case

A client wants paid-up coverage on his kid.

His kid is 14, lives in Towanda, Penn. He does not have legal custody of him.

The father lives in Georgia.

They are ready to buy a 10-pay policy from me but alas, being in TN, I can't do anything to help.

So, two questions:

1) Is there a way to write a case on the 14-year old boy without getting a PA license AND not having to do the interview face-to-face?
2) If not, is there anyone in the Towanda area that would like to help me and could write a 10-pay type policy. No split needed, you can keep 100% of commissions; just want to help satisfy my client's coverage needs.

Thanks,
Dave

I believe you could write the business if you are licensed in the state where the Owner/Payor of the policy lives in...Double check with the State Insurance Dept, and they can tell you if this would fly or not.

Not with Monumental. I had the same thing with the owner payer in my office but the kid was 6-hours away in Chicago. Monumental threw a FIT. NO GO.

Talked with Settlers on phone.. They will write up to 15K as long as the father knows the health history and the agent is licensed in the state where the app is signed.

Monumental needs to get a phone interview system in place, so you could write business thru mail...Get with the times Monumental!

I think they just launched this a week or so ago... Only snag I saw was that the client must have email, which of course is not likely for FE

I saw that webinar, but you have to submit the E-APP while still being in front of the client...I didn't quite get what the point of doing an E-App was, if I still had to be infront of the client...

They just want you to do the data entry for them...mighty nice of they to let us do their jobs. No reason on earth to not allow non-seen apps.

That's what I was thinking too... Maybe this is the first step in them taking the App away from the client, and then they do PHI like other E-Apps like Fidelity and Assurity

I think they want the agent to do their job for them with the carrot of quicker processing times, etc. If you input it for them they don't have to pay someone 10 bucks an hour to sit there and do it.
