Need to Adjust?

I started cold calling business owners two weeks ago. I finally got an appointment this week. I'm just wondering if I should adjust anything right now according to what I'm hearing.

I'm in NC and most of the people I'm calling are business owners with 5-9 employees. Most are on some sort of group plan. I'm looking for individual. Most are on BCBS. I'm taking note of carriers and renewal dates. I'm hoping I have something figured out by then. Many of the owners I talk to are older than 65. I'm guessing I should be licensed for medicare supplements which I'm not.

Is there anything I can be doing or looking for with all these people on a group BCBS plan? Most of them tell me they're happy with what they've got. If most of these employers have a group plan, why am I looking for individual with them?

After writing this, now I'm wondering if I'm fishing in the right hole.
 
I believe the collective wisdom says you should market to those businesses with less than 4 employees, if you want indy apps.
