Try different things, and see what works for you. I never dressed well, never combed my hair, and I have terrible eye contact. I make corny bad jokes all the time that border on unprofessional, constantly interrupt people, get distracted easily, and am generally tactless. Many of my friends find it baffling I even manage to maintain employment in an office setting, even though I am technically self employed.
However I found what worked for me, leveraged those assets, and succeeded in a business where very few people make it as a commercial independent agent.

I am cracking up. Im a bubbly over the top, also interrupter, Yankee transplant in SC in and of itself is an objection to overcome But im opposite of you in the respect I love picking out my outfit and doing my hair and makeup. Heck, its my favorite part of the day.
Im a producer with salary and commission, considering going 1099.
