Niche Marketing Health Insurance?

How much of a haircut do you take on the commission to provide those free leads? If I'm getting paid 30% less than I would on my own, those leads aren't free.

"Free leads" are always tied to production - and a lot of it - which most FMO's kinda fail to mention during their recruiting pitch.

If they claim there's no production requirements get them to sign a statement saying that the FMO will provide "X" number of leads per week, ongoing during the life of the contract with no minimum production required - see if they sign it.

Some FMO's, MGA's, etc...do indeed give free leads but it's always stated that it's after you've hit certain production numbers.

In my opinion, if it ain't broke don't fix it. In my years in this industry, I have learned that some things work well for certain people. Cold calling can be very profitable but for some its a nightmare. However, some people do not cold call and have established systems that produce leads for them. In most cases, it takes quite some time to do that. I just think you find what works for you and stick to it. There are many specialists, on cold calling, lead generation, and everything else. There is something out that works for everybody :)

What kind of production level do agents have to maintain to keep getting free leads?

Our brokerage provides 5 in-house telemarketer generated leads for each health app submitted. New agents get 10 free per week for the first month (more or less) to get them going, with the manager's help.
