Wrote an app on a 69 m NTU- insulin diabetic no complications or neuropathy - nitro. (refilled last year ) used a couple years ago(unsure if he used it in recent 24 months. Had a quad bypass in 01 - surgery to fix everything. Currently taking Amlodipine and HCTZ. Metoprolol .atorvastatin ...says no angina recently but his Nitro script has 1 of 2 refills left and expires 05/2017 .

So , I wrote him Trans standard . I figured foresters or Oxford would had declined because of the nitro .... He has been approved by Trans and I am awaiting the policy delivery .

My client called and just told me another agent (who called him up, referred by a friend) just got him approved with Oxford ... Turns out , My client , gets his meds through the VA - he's a vet. Nothing popped up on the PHI using Oxford .
Is this OK ?

My concern is that if he dies in the first 2 years , this policy won't pay ( with Oxford )... He is waiting until we review both policies side y side before we choose which is best for him .

Thoughts ?

Oxford - 6k $40 /mo
Trans - 4K 43/mo

If he's willing to cooperate just get on the phone with Oxford and explain the meds.

Doubtful he will cooperate since he already talked to Oxford on the phone interview and said no to all their questions.

But, if he will get on the phone they will tell him what you want him to hear.

Good thinking - I believe he will cooperate .... The first thing he did was call me telling me he got approved . He trusts me . We are both trying to do what is best for him .

And tell him his "friend" sent him a dishonest agent who knows better, then offer the friend a free policy review as well and snatch up another one.

Talked with an Oxford underwriter . I did a "risk assessment" on the prospect as if we were going to apply ... Her response.

She said if it were to have came up and if he were to have had a note from his doctor saying he didn't use / need it and if he could answers no to all of the questions on the app than It "should" be able to be approved ..... Interesting .
