No Medicare, Over 65

In California, only one choice...M R M I P

Unless, in CA, they are already on an IFP plan, then they can stay on but they cannot purchase an IFP plan once they hit 65.

I've never successfully found a health plan for people of 65 not on Medicare.

Anyone have a good alternative?

Rick

Do a search. A long time ago some "bible thumper" started a thread titled Jesus is my health insurance or something like that.

There is nothing that I have ever found for people on Medicare. If you still feel that you are missing out on something I would suggest you call your carriers, all of them, and ask those questions.

Don't worry about this sounding like a "dumb question", once you have been in the senior market for a while you will pick up on this kind of stuff. :D

However, if you are just trying to increase the number of threads you have started, to compete with others who have more, then I do understand .:1wink:

High risk state pools...but it may be cheaper to pay the penalties or premiums from Medicare then to choose the risk pool. The cheapest plan in MO with a $5K deductible is $789 per month.

So sad... I had a lady today ask if she could drop that 96 buck plan (Medicare Part B).

Seems she doesn't like her AARP MA zero premium plan with a 20% out-patient surgery bill.:laugh::laugh:

What about these poor people who can't afford real insurance? :err:
