Non Compete

Came close - UGA notified me of their intent to sue when I quit claiming a 2 year non-compete clause. Thankfully my brother was an attorney and a few certified letters were exchanged before they dropped the issue.

One of my brother's points was if I worked "for" UGA then I must have been a W2 employee and apparently UGA was really not up to getting into 1099 vs W2.

MUCH better - most of his speech is back and he's launching a new business:

Maryland Decisions - something he was tinkering with for a couple years that he's taking full time.

That's good to hear. I know he was having some real struggles.

If it wasn't for disability it would be over. Actually, it wouldn't be over - my father would be using his retirement money to support him.

I just took him to the MVA last week, he had to turn in his driver's license. Not a lot of fun.

Losing mobility (drivers license) is a major blow for most, but things could be a lot worse.

He has another mini stroke and his doctor had to report that to the MVA which contacted him stating he had to turn in his license. He has no idea the procedure is to get it back.

All of this over unchecked high blood pressure.

Just made an appointment with my Dr. going to get BP checked tomorrow.
