Obama Signs Bill Expanding Federal Health Care for Kids

As I understand it, it actually includes everyone in the household if the household income is less than $80K per year. That is how they can get the "children" to stay on their parents plan until age 28.

Can you reference this for sure?

I find it hard to believe anyone under $80k household can get on this socialism plan. This is the biggest expansion to socialism in our nations history and it is virtually no where on t.v. - unreal.

Interesting, the place I got that info from is now on a SERVER NOT FOUND......I will look elsewhere and post it when I find it.

This just popped up from PBS and you can see at the bottom of the article it mentions that the 5 year waiting provision for illegal aliens was dropped. This is obviously to ingratiate the illegals to the Democrats and Obama.

Funny that the government site I used to get my bill info from is not showing the bill anymore.......Hello Karl Marx.

You'd all roll back to Alabama of 1958 if you had a choice.

You'd bring back segregation (or slavery), coat-hanger abortions, poll-taxes, literacy tests, quotas, Jim-Crow laws, HUAAC/Joe McCarthy, the Nixon plumbers, and spying on civilians.

I've never been happier to have such a large group of agents totally hate my guts.

It is good to hear from you again. In setting the record straight; not everyone, who encourages change, is a racist.

Just wondering how California is going to pay our share of the cost. We owe money to private businesses who will surely go out of business without payment.

I don't think it is the taxpayers responsibility to provide insurance coverage to children of families earning $80K.

On the other hand, I don't want to punish children by withholding medical care because their parents are idiots.

If there was only something like charities, mutual aid societies, churches, etc. that might step in. Oh yeah, the feds got rid of all that when they decided that welfare was a better way to go.

Damn I just love the liberals! And most of all, Al.

At least you enjoyed something because you seem miserable from what I can tell from your posts, and I find it sad.

I'd like to add that Obama stated he campaigned in 57 states, very smart guy.

:1mad:
PS: We won the election. You lost. Cry and complain and be an obstructionist all you want, but it won't change things. You had your day... and look at the shape we're in. You had your (lame) candidates... the clueless McCain and the *** Palin... and 8 years of probably the worst president in US history. Time for a change for the rest of us. For the rest of you, go to Idaho or Arkansas, share a tent with Healthguy, sman, Winter, Mr. Bill, Moonlight, and Patriot..(you're all gay anyway) and live in a para-military survivalist commune. We will miss you about as much as you miss us!

Damn, I enjoyed that.

Al, even though I will most likely never agree with you on anything, I have to say that I do respect how well you write and convey your ideas.

One question I have for everyone on this board, why did Obama have the 5 year waiting provision for illegals taken out of the SCHIP program?
I guess that since they have broken our laws by being here that we get to reward them with free health care at tax payer expense?

As far as Obama campaigning in 57 states, isn't there supposed to be 57 member states for the Organization of the Islamic Conference or something. Kind of a strange slip up if you ask me, given his background and some of the speculation on him.

The scary part is this is after a few WEEKS in office, we have four more years of this guys out of line policies and excess spending.

This week was rough - I don't know what I was more upset about SCHIP expansion or the government spending HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS to give deadbeats a digital tv converter?

I guess he needs a way to communicate with his base.

I just don't think the government has any place giving out t.v. vouchers this is absurd. The only senator with half a brain was from Texas (of course) speaking out today against the digital t.v. delay which I am outraged about the delay and voucher program.

When will this stop?

Agree with your comments about the 4 month delay for the digital TV converter. What a load of BS. $40 charge. They've had years to get it. Plus, the stupid announcement that's scrolled across the bottom of the TV during every show will go on another 4 months!!!!!!!!!!

Trying to find this information, but I believe they did not expand the income limits to qualify. There was early talk about families up to $63k . . . the Senate wanted up to $80k.

While researching yesterday I saw a figure of $36k but can't find it today.

They have relaxed the citizenship requirements. All you need do is say you are a citizen and produce a SS card. It is up to the SSA to verify the card is legitimate.

This is supposed to be funded by a $0.39/pack cigarette tax, which is estimated to be . . . $31 billion over the next 4 yrs.

What a country.
