A devastating new Health and Human Services (HHS) Inspector General report released on Tuesday reveals that the Obama administration has yet to determine whether 1,295,571 of the over 8 million Obamacare enrollees are U.S. citizens lawfully in the country.

The finding, located on page 11 of the report, states that 44% of the remaining 2,611,780 application "inconsistencies" are related to verifying "Citizenship/national status/lawful presence." Another 960,492 application inconsistencies were related to verifying whether subsidy applicants provided accurate income information.

You mean the immigrant fact sheets the exchanges put out (http://info.nystateofhealth.ny.gov/sites/default/files/Fact Sheet_Immigrants.pdf for example) that specifically state
"you will get help no matter how you or your family members came to this country" and "even if you don't have immigration papers" and "no matter what your status", along with making it clear that info won't be sent to immigration, resulted in illegal immigrants enrolling?

I went to vote last week in a local election and they asked for my ID I said what if I don't have one they said "then you can't vote"!

It seems that those here illegally are more savvy than the legal immigrants. I have several legal immigrants who were turned down by hc.gov for one reason or another, related to their identities being unverifiable.

Perhaps most of the illegals enrolled at state exchanges..like California? Or perhaps they accessed an online "cheat sheet" for beating the exchange's ID verification? I heard that's how so many get across the U.S.-Mex border undetected.

I'd bet you a beer they walked into a navigator office, sat down, and they just made it work (and probably got a bigger subsidy than they should have).

I doubt any of my enrollments are not legal in this country... why? I did 99% of mine online and had to trapes through the identify verify....I feel if they made it tru that then someone knows who they are.

Next, the few I could not get tru I conferenced with the FFM and they ask NO identify verifyciation... none.... and when we are done the rep does not mention hey my client, we need a copy of your papers... or income... or whatever... they this person gets a nasty letter or call.... and here is the kicker: you have no way to submit except for snail mail...why? because they could not verify their identy to create the account to upload the docs....

My advice to HHS.... eliminate the identity verify process and if you have a problem I can then upload the info

2nd advice to HHS: complete the agent login section of the site so all apps can be done via the agent side of the portal so we can track this crap for you

3rd advice.... Never, ever, ever change the passwords again... period...... you had no reason to change the passwords, you were not subject to the heartbleed virus... my wife who is an IT specialist on wall street said your site was secure related to this matter..... she said you simply lost the data file with the passwords and had no back up

I know with 99.99% certainty all of my enrollments were here legally. Matter of fact if you or the Gov wanted me to try and trick the system and push one through to test it I'm pretty sure it would not work.
