If you are one of the three to four million arch-conservatives in the US seeking a return to both Alabama of 1958 and Tombstone of 1888 (which is 95% of the subscribers to this board) no doubt you hated every word... as much as you hate the speaker.
My bet is that the other 300+ million near the middle of the political spectrum (a bit on each side of center) think it was an excellent speech in that it embodied the spirit and optimism of America as opposed to the pessimism of the past and those who want to return to it.

Come on most State of the Union Speechs have become nothing more than political drivil...And Obama is only the last in a long line of Politicians that use this time to do nothing to really discuss the state of the union...Actually Obama isn't the last the Repubs and anyone tht is a politican that comments on this speech will only be doing for their own political benefit.
Its like the old joke about 1/2 of all lawyers drowned in the ocean is a good start...just change out lawyers with politicians.
