Someone tried recruiting me into this some time back. It looked pretty neat and the pay was $300 for my agents with me recieving a little override.

Here was the problem. It took way to long to get paid, and most of the Kits would not be issued because insurance did not cover it.

When you promise people free stuff but dont follow through it tends to hurt other business that you have placed in the house.

I have stopped selling this, and I believe they have reduced commission on this also...

Agent Beware.

Free, No Cost, No Additional Premium...

Whatever, you are not selling Medicare Advantages here...

Your selling a Kit, that the company accepts 80% as payment in full... It costs the client nothing... Its free to the client...

Here is the problem with your Kit, and I can email anyone the name of the company....

- The company is not contracted with many insurance companies... Most HMOs, PPOs, and PFFSs will reject this before the ink is dry

- This product is not deemed medically necessary... so even if they were contracted with a carrier, its still not seen as a necessity (for the most part)

- Finally, when you promise a client a free kit, and then it falls through, YOURE the one that looks bad, and that hurts the other business you have placed in the home.

I had 10 agents testing this thing out... we sold a little over 20 in a month...

Something like 3 clients got the kits, and we are yet to get paid...

You know something is up when they say You have to contact me to get my code.

Football...agents should not offer any type of kits. That is for the Dr to do.

If it was a reputable company, they would have a DME rep selling these to Dr offices or DME supplies out there telling Dr offices.

I have yet to see an insurance agent offer diabetic shoes, but then again the day is still young...

I was looking on craigslist at sales jobs (our agency has an ad on there for agents) and I was checking the competition when I saw an ad for this...

I am talking to them to see what kind of answers I can get about it.

No, I am not trying to sell it, just want to see what they are saying vs. what we know.

i am always taken back by the number of IDIOTS replying in the threads... if i was a consumer (which i am an agent) and was reading this forum - i would think INSURANCE AGENTS are a bunch of idiots, this is LOW CLASS GARBAGE, a bunch a low class individuals and it makes the insurance industry look bad, ITS NO WONDER people look down on insurance agents/this profession - TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT THE PEOPLE THAT MAKE IT UP!
