I had one in a dealer but it was an auction, once a month auction, and most of the cars were either going out of the country or to the junk yard, so the cars were not going to have insurance on them either way. Now, it has come to my attention, since I worked for a big chain car insurance place, that dealers could use some good customer service around here and an agent who does give them good service. This should be a given, but too many agents are not willing to go the extra mile. For dealers. For some reason. Probably the loss ratios and lapse ratios- mentioned above. I am now trying to ask around to different agents, see if they need a producer. What do you guys think of that? Becoming a producer? I am tired of trying to get E&O and the carriers, I went through all of that when I had my ageny. But, I may do it once more if I cannot find a willing agency who needs a producer underneath them.
