Options for Insulin Dependent Diabetic?

I am only contracted with a couple of health co.'s and only one of those will consider a group. This diabetic lady I am speaking of has two children and her husband works as an independent contractor. She IS on his payroll, but I am having trouble w/ my co. saying that with only a few people in the group, they cannot properly "spread the risk". Is this par for the course?

Can't speak for OH, or who "your company" is, but two person groups are written all the time where one or both are uninsurable. I have at least a dozen cases like this.

If your in Ohio, the groups recommended should be Cose (medical mutual) or Anthem. Most competitive in price and benefits.
You can have a group of three or more. I think for Cose it might be 2.
Aetna might be a close 3rd with price..

Thank you guys. I am obviously not appointed w/ either of them - only Assurant and Golden Rule actually. Do any of you have a website I could direct them to? I would love to help them, but I should probably leave situations like these to the "pros"
