Parker & Asses in the Crosshairs

I will.
Between that news and the Shenandoah news, my head is kind of spinning today.
I have a meeting with Equita on Monday here in Dallas. There seems to be some positives floating around here about their FE side. I will also be contacting RFS.
Thanks a ton for the advise!

I don't think he gets the advice you were trying to give him Randy.

It is hard to sit back and watch newbies jump out of the pan into the fire, but I guess we all have to get burned at least once to learn the ropes.

Please, people... do your due diligence. Check the state DOI for fines and sanctions on the companies (agencies, IMOs, FMOs) you are thinking about signing on with. Don't rely solely on what you read on this forum.

Absolutely Correct!

I hate to say it, but it has been my observation that the insurance industry (as a whole) has deteriorated in the past ten years or so. When I originally licensed in 1992, carriers conducted their affairs with much greater scrutiny. Now, the state DOI's seem to ignore their shenanigans. What is going on in Medicare is simply abysmal. The insurance landscape is now littered with scams and cheats making it damn near impossible to make an honest living. I gave up Medicare sales this AEP, and am teetering on leaving the insurance industry all together.

Laughing at chicken little. I am in Louisiana, so just having an insurance commissioner that has not gone to prison is a plus for us. On the other hand, I have worked for a couple of different insurance companies that had good integrity and paid the claims (and me) fairly.

There is still plenty of good business out there to write, at least in the life insurance arena. I was reading a statistic that said approximately 40-50% of people in America have no life insurance. I have delivered the checks that enabled people to bury their loved ones so I have no doubt of the need for what I do.

Personally I am optimistic about the future in this business, as long as I stay aligned with organizations with integrity. If I make a mistake with deciding who to work for it is just time to move on to another one. Just my opinion.
