Most clusters i contacted have declined pawnshops.
What carriers you know that insure pawnshops?

going to have to find a surplus line carrier...you'll find alot of things uninsurable in Fl.

You may not be able to cover contents or liabilities but you may be able to insure the building...you'd have to let them know specifically of this.

Do they have current coverage now?

it's a new business, i tried surplus lines and they provide maximum coverage for burglary $10,000 while my client needs a million
Thanks for replying to my thread.

Contact the link above and see if they'll play with agents.
Do a little googling and you might find one who does....or at least be able to give the client some choices.

Bill, you might be confused, the insurance company cant dictate how much burglary coverage is needed, the million is probally for GL. there is a difference in those coverages

Bill, I wouldn't spend too much time working on that, they are not easy to place in Florida, and the amount of work you will end up doing just isn't worth it (unless you just have extra free time). i would get to know other agents in the area, and refer this type of business to them, you might be able to set something up with them where they will share the 1st year comm. with you or give you a gift card etc. That way you still get something for it and don't spend your time on stuff like that when you can be selling stuff you already know how to place. Once you get a little bit more experience and more markets, that stuff will get easier and take less time.

The way I look at it; If I take time away from selling home and auto (and small commercial accounts) to work on a tough to place commercial risk that may not even sell, then I just wasted my time.
