Pelosi Wants to Go for Another Ride

I am all for it. If she wants to try to run with it again that will cause the Republicans and moderate dems to just treat the whole issue of health reform as radioactive and just stand back and let Pelosi and Reid do whatever they have to do. The voters are sick of all the foolishness and want Congress off working on other things but Pelosi is still talking reconciliation which most people see as a sham and flagrant rejection of their will.

Both she and Reid and Obama are weakend no matter what they do. They have no good choice at this time so I am willing to just encourage them to do whatever the have to do. Whether they run into the brick wall riding in a truck or a bus does not make that much difference to me.

As stated before though, if I were one of the republicans, I would not even talk to someone who is dangling reconciliation over my head. If you think you have a gun to my head, pull the trigger. Otherwise you take the gun down.

Pelosi and Obama have to choose now between whether they want to leave the door open for negotiations with the repubs in the near future or whether they want to continue to threaten them and cause them to put a silver stake through the whole thing. I am hoping for the latter because there can be no real progress on health reform until the dirty stuff is put down hard.

Thinking in broad terms for a moment.
Conceptual, I think irrefutable points.
What do we know?
We know that there is a finite amount of all resource.
A finite amount of doc's, hospitals, labs, medical providers.
We have 308,000,000 people and counting.
The word is access.
If you are Nancy Pelosi or some other member of the govt. you are thoroughly insured at the expense of us tax payers. Wealthy people can just cut a check if and when they need medical treatment ... god that's hot ... get rich or die try'n beeeyatch ... go 50 ... but, ... I digress.
The way it is now, the middle class struggles to get the best access possible at the best price. Poor folk are on Medicaid.
All Pelosi and the current admin. want to do is to expand Medicaid. Call it what you want.
If they do this, the people who suffer are the middle class. Hence the uproar from middle America as most recently expressed in VA.

Same deal with ARRA. Cash for brain deads, etc. problem is, that's all borrowed money.

The young voters are idealistic and unknowing, as we all were. This is the Dem base. Don't get me wrong. I think about 95% of all these politicians are full of "copious amounts of horse manure," except for maybe my boy Ron Paul and his boy.
Point is, Pelosi does get it. They misread the public at large and now they are on the back peddle.
