I've only seen pet insurance offered at the vet's office or at petsmart
You have to be part of a huge brokerage or imo to have access to sell it.

There are many companies that are starting to offer it..it's really great I think. Many of us consider our pets family...and we get benefits through work for us and our families..so companies providing optional pet insurance is great.
My job doesn't have it yet, but we've been talking about it..however, I do have pet insurance from Trupanion. I enrolled my lil Dougie earlier last year with them. We had to file a few claims already because he got sick and it has already paid for itself.
Trupanion covers all diagnostic tests, surgeries/procedures, and medications 90%, and also emergency vet visits and specialists. I have found that some other pet insurance companies are more restrictive on how much they pay if you go to specialists.
If you are shopping around, I would definitely recommend avoiding routine coverage (regular exams, vaccines, etc), because you are just paying the costs through higher premiums thus not saving any money, but in most cases, losing money.
I believe that pet insurance is definitely a good idea, even more so for puppies and kittens. You never know when they will get into an accident, or get sick all of a sudden. Definitely worth the peace of mind.

I've been looking into doing Pet Insurance and the plan options/commissions seem to vary widely. It is up and coming in the worksite market though.

In PA, a P&C license is required to sell pet insurance.
