What about mortality insurance, does that also need a P&C license?

Particularly for horses. I have always had mortality insurance on my horses. I get it thru a local P&C company. The coverage is with Markel.

The premium is a percentage of the face amount. For example, $10,000 at 3%=$300/yr premium.

I've always intended to look into selling it. With all the people I know in the horse show business that would prefer doing business with someone they know might be worthwhile. I've been procrastinating on checking it out, I really should look into it.

I think it is crazy that people spend more money on pet insurance , then they do life insurance.

It's the lady with 20 cats that is spending her husbands life insurance for them that makes pet insurance worth it LOL

You do have to have P&C but you dont have to be part of big broakerage or IMO there are several that will sign up agents to sell trupanion is one of them
